Tow floats — which one, and clip or waist belt?

Mark Davies·49d ago
My old donut float finally gave up (RIP, faithful orange friend). Looking at the dry-bag style ones so I can stash keys and a layer. Any strong opinions on brands? And do you clip to the belt or just use the leash it comes with?

Dry-bag style is what most of us have ended up with. Waist belt, not clipped — you want to be able to shove it behind you in chop and forget it's there. 28L is overkill, 20L takes a towel, keys and a windproof fine.

Mine doubles as a pillow for the post-swim beach sit. Ten out of ten, would float again.
